Creating a Caring Christian Community

Teaching the Values of Faith
Religion is a daily part of students' lives at Northwest Catholic. Students participate in classroom prayer at the beginning and end of each school day. They also engage in various service projects throughout the year. In religion classes, students study Church teachings, prayer, Church history and issues of morality. Our goal is to help our students live their faith as Disciples of Christ, who join in community to worship God and minister to others.

Liturgy and Prayer

We celebrate our life experiences as a Christian community through liturgy and prayer. Through these experiences, it is hoped that students:

- personally come to know and relate to God as One who loves and cares for them.

- grow in their Christian faith through familiarity with the person of Jesus and His message in the Word.

- are aware of belonging to a community of faith and that their concerns for the needs of the wider community grow.

- respond in service to the word of God shared each week.
